TMT Germany has introduced a state of the art Digital 4 Frequency eddy Max 4U which is Digital 4-Frequency eddy current tester which in conjunction with Rotatable probe, Software extension for signal mixing, scan the bore/weld surface in the same time and false crack detection and operator error is reduced drastically.

Special storage option makes it possible to record the maximum signal, which can be obtained by optimally guiding the inspection probe, thanks to Windows based software options. Its compact structure makes it possible to carry it for field inspection of the Aircraft frames for Fatigue etc.

Multi frequency technique drastically reduce the fault alarms, therefore unnecessary repair can be avoided.

The results of defect are classified in six categories,

1. Large crack 2. Small crack 3. Burr, Ovality 4. Ferrous particle 5. Smeared crack 6. Crack in steel.

This probe type is designed for the detection of surface cracks in ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic materials.

The sensor tip can be designed either as:
- absolute - Type ATTS-K1
- differential - Type DTTS-K1
- multi differential - MDTTS-K1 probe.
Due to different tip shapes the optimum probe for every inspection requirement and application is available.
